On Thursday 14th January 2010 Engadine Rural Fire Brigade took delivery of a brand new Category 1 Fire Tanker. The vehicle is a 2009 model 800 series Isuzu with 4WD capability and turbo charged. It carries 3450lts of water and a crew of 6 personnel. It has both Bushfire and structural firefighting capabilities. The vevicle has been fitted with LED warining lights to give the vehicle better visibility when responding to incidents. All of the lockers are fitted with LED lighting to reduce the amount of power required to light the tanker at ninght time.

A newly designed cabin and pump protection system is also fitted, as wellthe pump can mix additives to assist with fire suppression when required. It is equpped with Compressed Breathing Apparatus and all tools for structural work.

The vehicle replaces a 2003 750 series Isuzu which will be sold to a District in New South Wales.
